Famed Former Boston Red Sox Catcher Bob Montgomery Visits Southeast Rehab

NORTH EASTON, M.A. – On Wednesday, October 11th, Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center welcomed a special guest: Robert Edward “Bob” Montgomery, renowned for his role as a catcher with the Boston Red Sox. Montgomery graciously spent quality time with residents and dedicated staff members.

During his visit, Montgomery not only shared inspiring stories from his career but also took the time to autograph personalized photos for residents, creating mementos of the day. He also proudly displayed the Boston Red Sox 2004 World Series Trophy, a symbol of the team’s historic victory.

The Easton Fire Department also made a special appearance at the skilled nursing center. Some of their firefighters had the privilege of meeting Montgomery and seeing the 2004 trophy in person. The shared enthusiasm between the firefighters, residents, staff, and Montgomery created an atmosphere filled with admiration and camaraderie.

“It was great fun for both the staff and residents,” said Diamond Boone, Regional Director of Therapeutic Recreation for Massachusetts and Rhode Island. “It is such a pleasure building a relationship with the Boston Red Sox organization and having them partner with us to do further programming events.”

Southeast Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center extends its heartfelt gratitude to Montgomery, the Boston Red Sox, and the Easton Fire Department for making this day truly memorable for our residents and staff.
