From Bedbound To Walking: 69-year-old John’s Therapy Journey At Southeast
NORTH EASTON, M.A. — John M. came to our center more than three years ago after being bedbound due to sciatica and other nerve-related injuries. His stability was poor and he could only walk a few feet with a walker. During his rehab journey, he underwent back surgery. After some time, John was able to walk longer distances with a walker and ankle braces, and eventually a cane.
Fast forward to today, thanks to our therapy team, John’s balance has remarkably improved! He can do standing activities and do daily tasks safer and more independently than before. As you can see in the video with our Occupational Therapist Erin McNeil, John can walk without a walker or assistance!
